11. 3 About Copying Video

The SVR-1670 supports the following types of copy media :
• CD/DVD : You can copy video to a CD or DVD. We recommend you use the 16x CDs or DVDs from
Mitsubishi, TDK, Imation and Sony.
• STK : You can copy videos of multiple video channels to a USB storage device and playback using the
Slim Player. Copying function is available for users of appropriate security permission.
• AVI : You can copy saved data in AVI format to a USB storage device and play back.
Copying Video
To begin copying, either :
· Press the COPY button on the front panel.
· Press the COPY key on the remote control.
· On the Function Key menu, select the Copy
Then enter the appropriate selections for each option on the Copy menu.

Type
Select either one of CD/DVD, STK and AVI.
For STK, select the channel to be copied after opening the copy channel.
Channel
(AVI and CD/DVD formats do not support per-channel backup.)
Slim player
Select whether to copy the Slim Player or not.
From
Enter the start date and time of the video you want to copy.
To or Duration
Enter the ending date and time of the video to be copied.

While playing a video, bookmark a scene to enable the bookmark feature in the
Bookmark
Copy window.
This option will show the media currently inserted into your DVR. Select the disk

you want to copy to.
If you are using unformatted USB or HDDs in FAT32, you must format them before
FAT32 Format
copying. Select the FAT32 Format button to format them. (This applies only to STK
copying, not to CD/DVDs.)
Start
To being the copying, select the Start button.
For following cases, the tray will not open automatically after the CD/DVD copy failure:
1. When there is no saved data between the specifi ed backup starting and ending time.
2. When the inserted CD/DVD media already contains the recording.
3. When the inserted media is not supported.
Do not interrupt the copying process once it begins. If the copy process is not 100%
complete, the copied video will not play properly.
