1xRTT (Single carrier [1x] radio
transmission technology)
A wireless technology that can provide fast
data transfer and Internet access with
average speeds of 60–80Kbps and bursts
of up to 144Kbps. Also called
NationalAccess.
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution
Profile)
A technology that defines how high-quality
audio (stereo or mono) is streamed from
one device to another over a Bluetooth
wireless technology connection, such as
music streamed from a mobile phone to a
wireless headset.
ActiveSync
®
The software on your Palm
smartphone that exchanges and updates
the information on your smartphone with
the information on your computer.
ActiveSync desktop software
The software on your Windows XP
computer that exchanges and updates the
information on your computer with the
information on your smartphone. To open
ActiveSync on your computer, double-click
the ActiveSync icon in the taskbar in the
lower-right corner of your screen. If the
icon does not appear, click Start, click All
Programs (or navigate to the Programs
group), and then select Microsoft

auto-off interval
The time of inactivity that passes before
