Troubleshooting for Printer
Check Point
Make Bi-D adjustment.
Check whether dirt is adhering to the surface of
CR guide shaft.
Check that CR guide shaft is steadily installed in
the designated position.
Check that CR guide shaft surface is flat.
Check whether sufficient oil is remaining on the
surface in the carriage slide area on the Paper
Eject Frame.
Check whether PF roller is dirty.
Check whether the following parts are not
damaged.
• Combination gear16, 21.6
• Combination gear 11.6, 36.8
• Spur gear 73.6
• Spur gear 25.6
Adjust platen gap.
Repeat cleaning and test printing alternately
several times.
Check whether dust is adhering to head cleaner.
Set new ink cartridge and execute test printing.
Clean several times, and execute test printing.
Revision A
Remedy
Refer to "Adjustment" (p.57)
Clean the surface of CR guide shaft with
a dry and soft cloth.
Reinstall the CR guide shaft on the
mounting slats (wing boards) on both
sides of the frame, and fix it with the rod
spring.
Replace the CR guide shaft with a new
one.
Clean the surface in the carriage slide
area and apply a specified amount of G-
26. (Refer to "Maintenance" (p.74))
Clean the surface of the PF roller
carefully with a soft brush.
Replace the damaged part with a new
one.
Refer to "Adjustment" (p.57)
Clean with a swab fixed to a stick.
Clean or replace the head cleaner.
Replace the ink cartridge.
Replace the head unit.
