    If there is no dial tone, check to make sure all cords are firmly plugged into their jacks. Connecting power through cord adapter To minimize the number of wires going to the FON-600, you can use the cord adapter to connect the AC adapter power to the telephone through the line cord.

    4. Connect one end of the long line cord to the TO PHONE jack of the cord adapter and connect the other end to the TEL LINE jack of telephone. You must use the long cord provided with your phone. Alternatively, the FON-600 can be powered through building wiring. See “Appendix A” on page 23 for further details.
