Setting the TEL LINE TYPE
Your fax is factory-set to work with rotary pulse telephone lines*. If you have a tone line, you will
need to change the telephone line setting.
Follow the procedure below to set TEL LINE TYPE.

Press [Function].
Press [Registration].

Press [Start/Copy] twice.

Use [ 1] or [ 2] to select TEL LINE TYPE.
Press [Start/Copy].

Use [ 1] or [ 2] to select TOUCH TONE.

Press [Start/Copy].

Press [Stop].
Registration ends and the fax returns to standby
mode.
* The factory setting for the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore is TOUCH TONE.
