Registering group dialling
numbers and names
The quickest way to send a document to multiple destinations is to use group dialling. This allows
you to send a document to fax numbers registered in a group by either pressing a single button, or
by pressing [Coded Dial/Directory] and then entering the two-digit code under which the group is
registered.
Before you can use group dialling, you must register a group of fax numbers for one-touch or coded
speed dialling with your fax.
You can register up to 106 fax numbers* in a group, with each number containing up to 120 digits.
You can also register the name of the group (up to 16 characters); the name appears on the printout
of the group dialling list. See Group dialling list, p. 9-8.
Follow the procedure below to register numbers and names for group dialling.

Press [Function].
Press [Registration].

Use [ 1] or [ 2] to select TEL REGISTRATION.
Press [Start/Copy].

Use [ 1] or [ 2] to select GROUP DIAL.
Press [Start/Copy].

Select a one-touch speed dialling button or coded
speed dialling code under which you want to
register the group.
To register a group under a one-touch speed dialling button:
Use [1] or [2] to select the button under which you
want to register the group (01 to 07)**.
• If a one-touch speed dialling button has already been
registered, 1-TOUCH SPD or GROUP DIAL appears.
To register a group under a coded speed dialling code:
Press [Coded Dial/Directory], then use the numeric
buttons to enter the code under which you want to
register the group (00 to 99).
• If a coded speed dialling code has already been
registered, CODED SPEED or GROUP DIAL
appears.
n If you wish to register a group under a button or
code already registered for speed dialling, or you
want to re-register a group, you must delete the
old information first. (see pp. 2-12, 2-14)
* If you have not set up the Internet feature, you can register up to 107 fax numbers.
** If you have not set up the Internet feature, speed dialling numbers can also be registered under the Internet
button.
