AXIS NetPilot 2.70 and up should be used for AXIS USB print servers.
AXIS NetPilot makes management of Network Print Servers simple and
convenient. It runs on Windows platforms that use NetWare or
NetBIOS/NetBEUI and lets you
• Install Network Print Servers
• Modify the network environment
• Change the print server configuration
• Create printer groups
• Monitor printers
AXIS NetPilot is available on the AXIS Network Product CD and can also be
downloaded from the Axis Web site. Install it on any Windows client in the
network using NetWare or NetBIOS/NetBEUI.
When started, AXIS NetPilot scans the network for Network Print Servers. All
found will be placed in the folder New AXIS Units. Highlight the one you want
to install and click Install.
Select one of the two options:
with Installation Wizard. Use this option to install a new print server.

When you click the OK button the Installation Wizard will start and you
will be guided through the installation process, step by step.
If you choose this option for a print server that has already been installed,
the new settings that you enter via the Wizard will replace the existing
parameters.
• with current configuration. Use this option to make AXIS NetPilot accept
a previously installed Network Print Server without changing its
configuration parameters. When you click the OK button you will return to
the main window — the selected print server will now appear in the
Network Print Servers folder.
If you select this option for a new print server, the factory default settings
will be used and no print queues will be created. This is unlikely to be a
satisfactory installation.
Double-click the Axis Units folder and then the Network Print Servers folder in
the main window to reveal the installed print servers. Highlight the print server
that you wish to modify. Click the Network button in the toolbar or select
Network in the Setup menu or the pop-up menu.
The Network window has a number of pages with selection tabs depending
upon which environments are available and enabled for the print server you
have selected.
