To upgrade over the network using FTP you will need a file with the new print
server firmware. The name of this file is in the form
You can use any of the previously mentioned methods to obtain the new file.
You must assign an IP address to the AXIS 5500/AXIS 5550 before you can use
this upgrading method.
Follow the procedures below to upgrade the print server:
Be careful not to interrupt the file transfer. If the transfer is interrupted, the
AXIS 5500/AXIS 5550 may have to be re-initialized by your dealer.
1. From a DOS command prompt, log in to the AXIS 5500/AXIS 5550 with
