Chapter 8 Home Networking
IP address that gets assigned to another device. Use this screen to list the Vendor IDs of connected
STBs to have the VMG automatically create static DHCP entries for them when they request IP
addresses.
Click Network Setting > Home Networking > STB Vendor ID to open this screen.

8.8.1
LANs, WANs and the VMG
The actual physical connection determines whether the VMG ports are LAN or WAN ports. There are
two separate IP networks, one inside the LAN network and the other outside the WAN network as
shown next.
