About standard driver mode (Windows XP)

Use this mode if you want to use the standard driver provided by your operating system.
* This setting can be used only when running Windows XP.

Installing the standard driver

1.
Start up your computer with the A-500S disconnected.
* Disconnect all USB cables other than those for a USB keyboard and USB mouse (if used).
2.
Close any software that is running.
3.
Set the A-500S's [ADVANCED DRIVER] switch to OFF.
4.
Set the A-500S's power switch to the OFF position.
5.
Connect the A-500S to your computer.
6.
Set the A-500S's power switch to the USB position.
The driver will be installed automatically.

Input/output device settings

In order to use the A-500S with your software, you'll need to choose the A-500S as the MIDI input/output device.
For details on how to make this setting, refer to the documentation of your software.
