To determine when the main battery pack charge is low or when to replace the backup
battery

Charging the Main Battery Pack

Your Model 70 contains a rechargeable lithium-ion main battery pack and a coin-cell
lithium backup battery. The main battery pack charges each time you connect the
Model 70 to an external power source with an AC adapter.
To charge the main battery pack

, Settings, System and then Power.
If the battery is low on charge, the low battery icon appears on the command bar on
the Today screen. Tap the battery icon to display the Power control panel.
If the battery gets very low, the very low battery icon appears on the command bar
and your Model 70 displays a warning message. If this occurs, save any data, use
ActiveSync to perform a synchronization with your desktop computer, and turn off
your Model 70. Charge the battery. For help using ActiveSync, see the ActiveSync
online help on your desktop computer.
If your Model 70 shuts down, the backup battery will maintain your data for about
40 hours. However, you should immediately charge the battery.
Use an AC adapter to connect the Model 70 directly to an external power source.
Or,
Place the Model 70 in the cradle and use an AC adapter to connect the cradle to an
external power source.
