Communication setting

Your machine has three communication settings:
• Tx/Rx (Transmit/Receive) — You can send and receive calls/faxes.
• Tx (Transmit) — You can only call/transmit faxes.
• Rx (Receive) — You can only receive calls/faxes.

Phone line type setting

The following types of telephone line can be used:
• PSTN — A regular phone number.
• PBX — A PBX extension.
• PSTN call placed from a PBX.
Each telephone number is characterized by:
• The phone line type.
• Dialing method — either using the autodialer or direct input.
The following table shows possible combinations, using the common
PSTN access number "9" as an example for getting an outside line:
