Starting Up the Set-Top Box Preparing the Remote Control In order to be able to operate the set-top box after switching it on, you first have to insert the batteries into the remote control. 1. It is therefore perfectly adequate for simple transmission of picture and sound if you connect the set-top box to the television using the SCART cable supplied. Your set-top box offers various ports for other connection variants for transmitting analogue and digital sound.

Watching Television Watching Television The set-top box receives digital television signals and transmits these to your television set. You choose the desired channel, adjust the volume or call up information offers, for example, via the set-top box.
