• Some of the error messages in the list above may only appear with the EV61DVD model.

Remedy
• If the recording was made with Dolby NR switched on, check
that Dolby NR is also switched on during playback.
• The spaces between songs may be too short for music search
to work.
• Make sure that the tape is playing when using music search—
it will not work if the tape is stopped.
LINE
• Set the line attenuator on or off as necessary (see Reducing the
source signal level on page 51).
Description
• This message appears when the front panel buttons are
pressed when the child lock feature is active. See Child Lock on
page 66 for more on switching on/off the child lock.
• Blinks rapidly for 2 seconds when an operation is prohibited
because the line recording mode is on (see Recording mode on
page 60), or when recording to the tape deck.
• Blinks rapidly for 2 seconds when an operation is prohibited
because headphones are connected.
• Blinks rapidly for 2 seconds when an operation is prohibited
because the source is digital 96kHz PCM.
• Blinks rapidly for 2 seconds when an operation is prohibited
because the sound is muted (see Muting the sound on page 61).
• Appears briefly when a menu is automatically exited after a set
period of inactivity.
