Problem
The disc is ejected automatically
after loading.
Remedy
• Refer to Setting the relative volume level of each channel on
page 31 to check the speaker levels.
• Check that you haven't selected the STEREO surround mode
(see Listening in stereo on page 57).
• Connect the speakers properly (see Connecting the speakers on
page 9).
• When the power is cut due to power failure or by unplugging
the power cord for several days, settings will be canceled.
• As a copy-protection measure, some DVDs do not output
96kHz audio. In this case, even if 96 kHz is selected, the player
automatically outputs the audio at 48 kHz. This is not a
malfunction.
• EVA31DVD only: This is not a malfunction. This unit does not
support DTS audio. Please choose a compatible format.
• If the 96kHz source is copy-protected the 96kHz display will not
light.

• The mic is pointing toward the speakers. Keep the mic pointed
away from the speakers.
• The microphone level is set too high. Turn down the mic control
level.
Remedy
• Clean the disc.
• Align the disc properly in the disc guide.
• If the region number on a DVD-video disc does not match the
number on the player, the disc cannot be used (see DVD Video
regions on page 80).
• Allow time for any condensation inside the player to evaporate.
Avoid using the player near an air-conditioning unit.
