Installation on a Windows PC

The "Found New Hardware" help message
appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the
screen. This message will close when the
settings are completed. No action is required.
✽ This step is not required for subsequent connections.

Specify the settings shown below in the "AutoPlay" window.
I When FinePixViewer is included in the list of actions to perform
Select "Viewing images using FinePixViewer" and then select "Always do the selected
action" checkbox. (This checkbox may not be shown in some cases.) Click the [OK]
button to launch FinePixViewer.

I When FinePixViewer is not included in the list of actions to be performed
Select "Take no action" and then select the "Always do the selected action" checkbox.
(This checkbox may not be shown in some cases.) Click the [OK] button and launch
FinePixViewer manually.

Installation on a Windows PC
DISCONNECTING THE CARD READER
Use the following procedure to disconnect the printer from the PC.

Exit any applications that are using the printer (FinePixViewer, etc.).
Note
• Failure to carry out this step could cause the PC to malfunction.

Check that media is not being accessed. ([Busy] lamp is off.)

Prepare to turn the printer off. This step differs depending on the OS of the PC used.
I Windows 98/98 SE
No PC operations are required.
I Windows Me
q In the "My Computer" window, right-click the
"Removable disk" icon and then click "Eject".
w Click the "Unplug or Eject Hardware" icon in the taskbar and click "Stop USB Disk Drive".
When the "Safe To Remove Hardware" dialog box appears, click the [OK] button.

q Click the "Unplug or Eject Hardware" icon in the taskbar, click "Safely remove FujiFilm FinePix
Digital Camera" and then click the [Close] button of the "Safe To Remove Hardware" help
message.
