CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives and media are manufactured according to the specifica-
tions of six marketing regions. When you purchase DVD media, make sure it
matches your drive, otherwise it will not play properly.

DVD-ROM drive

The full-size DVD-ROM drive module lets you run either 12 cm (4.72") or 8 cm
(3.15") CD/DVDs without using an adaptor. It runs DVD-ROMs at maximum 8 speed
and CD-ROMs at maximum 24 speed. An ATAPI interface controller is used for
DVD-ROM operation. When the computer is accessing a DVD-ROM, an LED next
to the eject button glows.
NOTE: The read speed is slower at the center of a disk and faster at the
outer edge.
