The serial infrared port is compatible with Infrared Data
Association (IrDA 1.1) standards. It enables cableless 4
Mbps, 1.152 Mbps, 115.2 kbps, 57.6 kbps, 38.4 kbps,
19.2 kbps or 9.6 kbps data transfer with IrDA 1.1 compat-
ible external devices.
Slot for PC Cards accommodates:

This slot lets you easily transfer data from devices, such as
digital cameras and Personal Digital Assistants, that use
SmartMedia flash-memory cards.

hardware acceleration for advanced sound applications
including 3D games, DVD movie playback and internet

external devices. Use the TV adaptor cable for both video-
out and line-out. Data output depends on the type of
device connected to the TV adaptor cable.
This button directly launches various CD, DVD and Digital
Audio functions. Refer to Chapter 4,
details.
Audio/Video control buttons let you use the computer's
DVD-ROM or CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives as a stand-
alone audio CD player. You can also use the buttons to
control the computer's DVD video player and TOSHIBA
Media player when the system is on.
Sony/Phillips Digital Interface Format connection main-
tains audio signals in a digital format until it is converted
to analog for speaker output. If standard headphones are
connected, the output is analog.
