Date and Time Settings

When the printer is first set up, you are asked to set the date and time. If you want to change the date
and time after the initial setup, use the control panel to change the settings.
To change date and time settings:
At the printer control panel, press the Menu button.

Navigate to Admin Menu, then press OK.

Navigate to System Settings > Machine Clock, then press OK.

Change the following settings as necessary:
Date: Set the date.
Time: Set the time using a 12–hour or 24–hour format.
AutoClear: Specify the amount of inactive time before the control panel resets to the default
screen. To set the default screen, see
Delay Print: Set the time period to start the next print job after you operate the control
panel.
Energy Saver Timers: Set the energy saver to low power and sleep mode duration.
Time Zone: Set the time difference from GMT.
Daylight Savings: Set the daylight savings time, if necessary. During daylight savings, the
printer automatically increments the clock forward by one hour.

Synchronizing the Time Using SNTP

The Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) synchronizes the internal clock of the printer over a network
connection at system startup and at regular intervals.

At the printer control panel, press the Menu button.

Navigate to Admin Menu, then press OK.
Navigate to Network Port > SNTP Settings.

Navigate to NTP Synchronize.
5.
Select On, then press OK.
6.
Navigate to NTP IP Address, then press >.
7.
Navigate to Connection Interval, and specify how often the printer synchronizes the time with
the NTP server.
8.
Use the arrow keys to enter the IP address of your NTP server.

Press OK.
