3. Take the new drum cartridge out of the box
and remove the protective sheet.
Important
• Grab the drum cartridge by the handle. Do not touch
the drum surface (blue part) at the bottom of the drum
cartridge.
4. With the lever in the upright position, hold
the drum cartridge by the handle, align the
arrows on the drum cartridge with the
corresponding arrows on the printer and
guide the cartridge in until it snaps into
place.
5. Pull down the lever on the right to lock the drum cartridge in place. Then, close the top
cover and the front cover.
Note
• If you opened the unit D in step 1, close it.
Important
• The printer executes adjustments inside the printer for about 1 or 2 minutes. Do not switch the printer off
until the adjustments are done.

Replacing the Cleaning Pad

1. Open the front cover. Pull out the slide bar
that is inside the printer on the right side
until it stops.
The access window cover slides open.
2. Pull the cleaning rod until the cleaning pad
comes out of the printer.
