Your Vertu phone comes with several themes pre-installed. By switching
the current theme to a different one simply following the steps below, you
can change the background images for all the screens, including the Home
screen, Main Menu screen (page 28), other lower-level menu screens or
various other application screens, all at once and in a dramatical way.
1. From the Home screen, select Menu » Settings » Themes.
2. If folders are displayed, select one as necessary.
3. When you move the cursor to a theme and stay for a few seconds, you are
given a preview of the selected theme. Once you get a preview for a theme
that you would prefer, select it by pressing the [Joystick] key (Centre).

Changing the wallpaper

Your Vertu phone supports wallpaper settings, enabling you to replace the
background image of the Home screen with an image you prefer.
There are several ways to change the wallpaper. Shown in this section are
some typical examples of how to do it.
Before changing the wallpaper, confirm the following:
If you change the wallpaper when an image selected by Theme is currently
>
shown on the Home screen, the background image of the Home screen will
change from the one selected by Theme to a new one you select.
At this time, if the Home screen clock type was either Analogue or Digital,
>
changing the wallpaper here will automatically reset the clock type to Miniature.
In this situation, if you would like to revert the Home screen clock type to
>
Analogue or Digital again, you can use the procedure in "Changing the Home
screen clock type" (page 26). If this is the case, however, the image to be
displayed on the Home screen will also be reverted to the one selected by
"Theme" (page 27).
On the other hand, if you change the wallpaper when you have selected
>
Miniature or Hide clock, it is guaranteed that there will be no change in the
Home screen clock type (i.e. the Home screen clock type still stays the same).
In all cases, changing the wallpaper does not affect the screens other than the
>
Home screen, such as the Main Menu screen (page 28), other lower-level menu
screens or various other application screens. For these screens (other than the
Home screen), an image selected by Theme" (page 27) will be used as the
respective screen background image.
Selecting a wallpaper image using the Display setting menu:
1. From the Home screen, select Menu » Settings » Display » Wallpaper.
2. Select Image, and then from the displayed folders, select a folder (see
"Gallery" (page 46)) that contains the image you prefer.
3. Select the desired image.
After the "Wallpaper applied" message appears, you will return to the screen
>
after Step 1.
4. If necessary, select Adjust image, and select one of the following.
Centre: When the height to width ratio of the phone's display differs from the
>
image size's height to width ratio, the image size is automatically adjusted to
match the height of your Vertu phone's display. The image is then displayed
as the wallpaper for the Home screen.
Fit to display: When the height to width ratio of the phone's display differs
>
from the image size's height to width ratio, the image size is automatically
adjusted to match the width of your Vertu phone's display, so that all of it will
be visible. The image is then displayed on the Home screen.
Rotate left: The image is rotated 90 degrees to the left and then displayed as
>
the wallpaper for the Home screen.
Rotate right: The image is rotated 90 degrees to the right and then displayed
>
as the wallpaper for the Home screen.
Setting a photo taken with the camera as the wallpaper:
1. From the Home screen, select Menu » Settings » Display »
Wallpaper » Open camera.
2. Tale a photo, referring to "Taking photos" (page 46).
3. Select Set.
After the "Wallpaper applied" message appears, you will return to the menu
>
screen just observed by selecting Wallpaper in Step 1.
4. If necessary, select Adjust image and select one of the following:
Centre, Fit to display, Rotate left or Rotate right.
Selecting a wall paper image from Gallery:
1. From the Home screen, select Menu » Gallery, or Menu » Gallery »
Media (the folder displayed in the uppermost row).
2. Select a folder (refer to "Gallery" on page 46) that contains the desired image.
3. Move the cursor to the desired image and select Options » Use image.
4. Select Set as wallpaper
5. Select one of the following: Centre, Fit to display, Rotate left or
Rotate right.
