The following examples illustrate how the time is displayed on the Home
screen when you are not in your Home location:
Clock Type: Analogue
Clock type: Digital
Highlights of Accurate time feature:
Accurate time is a location-based feature which uses an internet connection to
>
accurately synchronise the clock of the phone with local time.
When Accurate time is enabled, and you are in your Home location, the Home
>
screen clock displays your local time.
When you have travelled outside your Home location, the time display changes
>
as follows (dependent upon the current clock type setting).
When the clock type is Analogue:
>
The time displayed at the large analogue clock (centre) changes to the
accurate local time of your travel destination with an aeroplane icon (
which is shown only when travelling. In addition, the time in your Home
location is also displayed in the small analogue clock at the upper left,
which also can be seen while travelling.
(Note: The two-digit number shown just beneath the aeroplane icon
indicates the day of the month, and the small analogue clock at the lower
right displays the number of seconds (for the large analogue clock time).
When the clock type is Digital:

The white large numbers in the centre of the sceen indicates the accurate
local time of your travel destination with an aeroplane icon (
The grey numbers just above indicate the time in your Home location
with a home icon (

Using your Vertu phone
When the clock type is Miniature

The local time in your travel destination is displayed at the top of the
screen in small digital numbers with an aeroplane icon (
The time in your Home location is not displayed when travelling.
When you return to your Home location, the aeroplane icon (
be displayed, and the time in your Home location will appear on the Home
screen again.
(When the clock type is Analogue, the small analogue clock at the upper left
will also disappear from the screen. When the clock type is Digital, the time
displayed at the top in grey text, together with the
from the screen.)
Regardless of where you travel to, the local time in your travel destination will
automatically be displayed, with necessary time zone offsets (based on Greenwich
Mean Time, GMT) and daylight savings time calculation automatically adjusted.
Should you have set any alarm before travelling, the time for that alarm will also
be automatically adjusted so that they will remain at the same time in the new
local time (e.g., an alarm set for 7 a.m. in Japan will remain at 7 a.m. at your
travel destination).
The use of Accurate time requires an Internet connection to enable your Vertu
phone to successfully synchronise the time with an atomic clock on-line.
(Some SIM cards may require manual configuration, such as a connection
access point. Note that such configurations are not required when you are using
a VERTU Club SIM card.)
In addition, the Internet assisted GPS (A-GPS) feature should be turned on
(select Yes) to have the location awareness feature always available.
Should you be unable to connect to the Internet, or in the event of a failed
connection, Accurate time may no longer be available and the clock type may
not be updated correctly. When Accurate time is not working normally,
displayed in the status bar at the top of the screen.
