Single fixed clock (Turning Accurate time off)
If you would prefer, you can turn Accurate time off, to switch to a normal
manual clock mode following the procedure below:
1. From the Home screen, select Menu » Settings » Date and time »
Time management.
2. Select Clock mode.
3. Select Single fixed clock.
When Single fixed clock is selected here, the Accurate time feature is
disabled, and you will see a normal clock display on the Home screen. In
this clock mode, Internet connection will not be used to acquire location
information or to automatically adjust the time.
Your Vertu phone, however, can still continue to manage the time zone
(GMT) and daylight savings time (DST) offsets off-line in conjunction with
your Home location setting (specifically in Menu » Settings » Date and
time » Time management » Home location).
For example, assume that you are leaving Japan for a trip to Paris while
your current Home location setting is still Japan as per the configuration
done on the Setup wizard. Then, upon arrival in Paris, what you are advised
to do is simply to change the Home location setting (under Menu » Settings
» Date and time » Time management) to Paris. By only following this, your
Vertu phone will automatically calculate the time difference between Japan
and France, and display the local time in Paris on the Home screen. On
your return, you then only need to revert the setting for your Home location
back to Japan, and the Home screen clock will once more display the time
in Japan.
Meanwhile, in order to quit the Single clock mode and return (switch) to the
Accurate time mode, select Accurate time in Step 3 above.
Tip: Home location change (if necessary)

Personalising the Home screen

In addition to the clock type selectable from either Analogue, Digital or
Miniature, you can also customise the theme or wallpaper to easily change
the overall look and feel of the Home screen.
Changing the Home screen clock type
Follow the procedure below to change the clock type on the Home screen.
1. From the Home screen, select Menu » Settings » Date and time.
2. Select Date and time format » Time » Clock.
3. Select the desired clock type to be shown on the Home screen.
Digital: Displays the current time in the centre of the Home screen with a set
>
of large digital white numerals in the hh(hour):mm(minute):ss(second) format.
Also shown directly underneath is today's date including the abbreviated
alphabetical notation on the day of the week.
Analogue (the default setting): Displays the current time in the centre of the
>
Home screen as a large analogue clock face, with a short hour hand and a
longer minute hand. A smaller analogue clock is shown at the lower right to
indicate the second hand. The two digits within a frame in the lower centre
represent today's date.
Miniature: Displays the current time at the top of the Home screen with a set
>
of small digital white numerals in the hh(hour):mm(minute):ss(second) format.
Hide clock: Hides the clock totally from the phone display, including not only
>
the Home screen but also the Main Menu screen (page 28), other lower-level
menu screens, or the various other application screens such as Calendar or
Contacts, etc.
Note: Even if you have selected Digital or Analogue in the settings
above, your Vertu phone will automatically reset the Home screen clock
type to Miniature, when you change the wallpaper for the Home screen.
