Profile icons
Your Vertu phone supports several profiles (page 47), including Manner or
Flight profiles. When switching to a profile other than General (the default
setting), one of the following icons is displayed alongside the other status
icons.
Manner profile is selected. (Or Incoming call alert and Message
alert tone are both turned Off under Menu » Settings » Tones.)
Flight profile is selected.
Meeting profile is selected.
Outdoor profile is selected.
My style 1 profile is selected.
My style 2 profile is selected.
Note: The profile icons above are displayed when a profile other than
General is selected. No icon is displayed when the General profile is
currently active on the phone.
Pulsing indicator
When your Vertu phone is on and there is no key press on the phone for a
certain period of time, the display is automatically turned off, and the light at
the lower end of the phone (as shown below) begins to flash at different
rates to indicate the status of your Vertu phone.

In stand-by mode, the light flashes

When you are charging your Vertu

Using your Vertu phone
Clock display on the Home screen
Your Vertu phone supports the following three different clock types to be
displayed on the Home screen: Analogue, Digital and Miniature.
When your Vertu phone leaves our workshop, the clock type is Analogue.
You can change the setting to Digital or Miniature.

Accurate time
Your Vertu phone is location aware. It can use this capability to
automatically maintain an accurate local time anywhere in the world.
When this feature ("Accurate time" in the remainder of this document) is
enabled, the local time in Japan will be displayed on the Home screen, if
you are in Japan. When you then travel to Paris, the time displayed on the
screen will automatically be updated to reflect the local time in Paris.
To use this feature, your Home location must be defined. If you are
normally resident in Japan when you insert a VERTU Club SIM card and
switch on your Vertu phone for the first time, if you accept the Setup
wizard's suggestion (page 24), Japan is set as the Home location.
When Accurate time is running, the time display is as follows.
When in your Home location, the local time is shown on the Home screen.

If you travel away from your home location, the clock time is adjusted to the

the time to indicate that you are not in your home location.
If the clock type is Analogue or Digital, your home time is also shown when
