This scenario is based on two assumptions:
• The company wants to use a single OmniTouch Fax Server Site and assign
the same Profile to all users.
• The company wants to integrate with the Active Directory for all regis-
tered users but often needs to give consultants or automated applica-
tions access to the fax system. They are identified through an SMTP
Address that is not associated with any user of the company.
Typically aimed at:
• Medium and large businesses that want the ability to manage users in
Active Directory and to quickly create additional fax accounts.
1 Under Directories Integration, add an OmniTouch Fax Server Internal
Directory. The default mapping of the Attributes is adequate.
You do not need to create Conditions.
2 Under Directories Integration, add an LDAP Directory. The default
Search Filter should be adequate; it will allow the system to find
users based on their SMTP Addresses. The default mapping of the
Attributes should also be adequate; it will allow the system to
retrieve users' Personal Information.
3 Under Site Lookup Table, add a rule configured as follows:
Rule Type = Use This Site
Site = CompanySite (where CompanySite is the Site you select)
4 Under the Profile Lookup Table of CompanySite, add a rule
configured as follows:
Rule Type = Use This Profile
Profile = UserProfile (where UserProfile is the selected Profile
assigned to all users)
You do not need to create Conditions.
