Authenticate the Server

2 Select the checkbox of an attribute name and then click Properties.
The Attribute dialog appears.
1 From System Configuration, select Directories Integration.
2 From the context menu, select Add LDAP Directory
The Directories Integration Properties window appears.
3 Complete the Server Settings - LDAP Server Address, LDAP Server Port
and authentication requirements.
The values you enter in the LDAP Server Address and LDAP Server
Port fields depend on whether you are using an Active Directory
server or a global catalog server.
An Active Directory server will listen on port 389 whereas a global
catalog server listens on port 3268.
4 If the server requires authentication, refer to Authenticate the
Server on page 123.
1 From System Configuration, select Directories Integration.
2 From the context menu, select Add LDAP Directory
The Directories Integration Properties window appears.
3 Select the Use Authentication checkbox, and then provide the
credentials (User Name and Password) of a user with at least
read-access rights on the server. Typically, the format used for User
Name is DOMAIN\account.
4 Complete the Query fields. (Search Base, Search Scope, Search
Filter)
5 Select the Attributes tab, and complete all the appropriate
information.
