Applying security settings

Security settings are entered in a profile, which is subsequently
associated with one or more users. Security settings may or may not:
• allow the user to send a fax;
• Sends faxes without specifying
password;
1 In the Web Administrator, select Configuration|Profiles.
2 In the right panel of the Web Administrator, select the checkbox of
the profile for which you would like to apply security settings.
3 Select Properties.
4 Select the Security tab.
5 Uncheck the User Is Allowed To Fax box, to prevent users
associated with this profile from sending faxes.
6 SMTP Messages Require Authentication, means that
messages sent to the SMTP Gateway must contain the user password
specified using the password body code.

• allow the user to attach a
cover sheet;
• allow the user to change
organization information;
• allow the user to change fax
options.
