TRIPLE COVER HEM
Select 10 and set up the machine.
The Triple Cover Hem measures 5.0 mm in width. It
uses three needles and the chain looper to form 3 lines
of what looks like parallel straight stitches.
Common Uses
Hem finish.
Topstitching.
Belt loops.
Thread in the following sequence:
1 Brown (I) thread path for chain looper (page 72)
2 Yellow (B1) thread path for L0 needle (page 63)
3 Blue (D1) thread path for L1 needle (page 65)
4 Red (E) thread path for L2 needle (page 66)
NOTE:
The needle threads should be separated in the last two
guides with the yellow to the far left, then blue and
finally red.
Make sure to check that the upper looper is locked in
the down position by turning the handwheel towards you.
COVER HEM WIDE
Select 10 and set up the machine.
A version of the cover hem that measures 5.0 mm in
width. The garment industry commonly uses this wider
width on knitwear.
Common Uses
Hem finish.
Topstitching.
Belt loops.
Thread in the following sequence:
1 Brown (I) thread path for chain looper (page 72)
2 Yellow (B1) thread path for L0 needle (page 63)
3 Red (E) thread path for L2 needle (page 66)
NOTE:
