EXTENSION TELEPHONE
Activating fax reception with a touch-tone telephone

Answer the extension telephone
when it
rings. You will either hear a fax tone or
the other party will speak.
If you hear a fax tone, go to Step 3.

If
the other party wants to
send a fax
after speaking, ask them to
press their
Start key.

Press "5" and "+" on your telephone.

If the extension telephone is connec-

ted to a
wall jack, you must
press "5"

and "*" during the interval 3 seconds
to 9 seconds after picking up the
handset.
Reception
will begin. Hang up.
Note: "
The code used to actit~atefax reception ("5"and '%")can be changed b> resetting User
Switch 5. See Chapter 6.
