Clean the recording head frequently to ensure optimum printing performance.
To clean the head, first turn off the power, open the operation panel, and
remove the recording paper.
Wipe the recording head and edge of the

head cover with a soft cloth dampened
with isopropyl alcohol.
Caution!
Do not use benzene or thinner. A~oid touching the head with hard objects.
The head ma>be hot if>'ourfax machine hasjust received a large number of documents.
If this is the case, alloi~ the head to cool prior to cleaning.
Clean the reading glass and rollers frequently to ensure the quality of
transmitted images and copies. Open the operation panel, and clean them
as shown below.
Wipe the reading glass, white backplate,
and rollers with a cotton pad or soft
cloth.
Makesure thatall dirtandstains (such
as those of correcting fluid) are
removed, as these will cause vertical
lines on transmitted images and
copies.
Wipe the external parts and surface of the machine with a dry cloth.
Caution!
Do nor use benzene or thinner. These solvents ma>' d amage or discolour the machine.
