Use automotivegasoline (unleaded or low leadedto minimizecombustion chamber
deposits) w itha minimumof87 octane. G asoline with up to 10%ethanolor 15%

or dirty gasoline. A voidgettingdirt, dust,or waterinthe fuel tank.DO NOT useE85
gasoline.
Useextreme carewhen handling gasoline.Gasolineisextremely flammable

Anadult shouldfuel this engine.NEVER allow children to refuel itsengine.

Topreventinjuryor death from fuel fires, follow theseinstructions:

Turnthe engineoffandlet enginecoolat least2 minutesbeforeremoving
the fuel cap.Thegasoline tankislocatedundertheseat.Thefuelcapis
tetheredto the tractorto preventitsloss. D onot attemptto remove thecap
from the tractor.
Clean aroundfuelfill beforeremoving capto fuel.
Filltank untilfuel reaches 1 /2 inchbelowthe bottomof the filler neckto
allowspace forfuel expansion. Becareful n ot to overfill.SeeFigure 16.

Replace t he gasoline capandtightensecurely. W ipeupspilledfuel before
startingengine.Iffuel isspilledDO NOT startengine.Movemachine away
from areaof spillage. A voidcreatinganysource of ignition until fuelvapors
aregone.
Tire Pressure
Equal t ire pressureshouldbe maintained at all times. Neverexceed the
maximuminflation pressureshownon the sidewall of the tire.
Therecommended o peratingtire pressure is:
Approximately 10psiforthe reartires
Approximately 14psiforthe front tires
IMPORTANT: Refer t o the tire sidewallforexacttire manufacturer's r ecommended
or maximumpsi.Donot overinflate. U neven tire pressure couldcause the cutting
deckto mow unevenly.
