If the enginehasbeenrunning,allowit to coolfor at leasthalfan hourbefore
cleaning. P eriodically r emove dirt build-upfrom engine.Clean the enginecooling
finsevery25 hours.Clean with a brush or compressed a ir.
IMPORTANT: Donot sprayenginewith waterto cleanbecause w atercould
contaminate fuel.Usingagardenhoseor pressure washing equipmentcanalso
forcewaterinto the air cleaner o r muffleropening. W aterinthe aircleaner w ill soak
the paperelement, a ndwaterthat passes t hroughthe elementor mufflercanenter
the cylinder, c ausing damage.

Cutting Deck Removal
Toremovethe cutting deck, proceedas follows:
1.
Place the PTO (BladeEngage) l everinthe disengaged (OFF) p ositionand
engage the parkingbrake.
2.
Lower the deckbymovingthe decklift leverintothe bottomnotchon the
rightfender.
3.
Remove t he belt fromaroundthe tractor'sPTO pulley.SeeFigure 33.
