Recording
From an External
Source
You can use this camcorder
to record or edit videos f]om another source, such as a VCR
or TV. [b connect your camcorder
to a TV (or VCR) with audio/video
outputs,
use the
supplied
audio/videoiSVideo
cable.
Connections

Connect the white plug of the cable to the left
AUDIO OUt' jack on the TV (or VCR).
Note: Some VCRsor TVsdo not offer left and
right audio jacks. For units with one audio
jack, use the cable's white plug
Conn_'ct the" red plug of th(, cabh" to th(, right
AUI)IO OUt' jack on the TV (or VCR).
Connect
the yellow
plug
to the VIDEO
OUT jack
on the ['V (or VCR).
OR: Use the S-Video out for video out for an
S-Video connection.
Open
the jack cover
on the camcorder
and
connect
the other
end of the cable
_) the AV+S
jack on the calTtcorder.
Note: Hold in the catches on the side of the
plug and pull it out to remove it from the
camcorde_
Do not pull on the cable without
holding
in the catches.
Turn On the S-Video
Input
If you have connected
your camcorder
using the S vide() cable, set the 5"VII)I'X) I:V
f_'ature to ON in the menu.

Put in a tape and set the I)SC MODE switch to
TAPE and the POWER
switch
to PLAY.

press the MEN[]/DISPLAY button to
display the menu screen.
