Edit Search
The edit search fl,ature allows you to search for the
point on tlm tape where you wish to start recording
without switching
the POWER switch to PLAYL

Set the I)SC MODE
switch
to [APE
or I)UAL
and press
in the Lock
button
to set the POWER
switch
to CAMERA.
In the Record Stand[_y mode, if the displays arc
not visible, press the MENI/I)ISPLAY
button
until the on-screen
displays appear.
Press 5R(]H.
Press and hold _
(folavard edit search) or
(r_verse _'dit s_'arch).
• In fol",vard edit search, the tape is played back
at normal speed. In reverse edit search, the
tape is played back at approximately
5.5 times
normal speed.
When you locate tim point where you want to
begin recording,
release tile II_ or _
button.
• Playback
stops, and the camcorder
enters
Record Pause mode. The tape will record from
this point when you start recording.
Press
5R(]Nto
cancel
the edit search
function
and return
to normal
displays.
Notes:
The sound is off during
search.
Some picture
noise appears during
reverse edit search.
