Using the Viewfinder
The camcorder's
viewfinder
is a miniature
color
monitor
that displays
wlmt
the
camcorder
is recording
or playing
back.
For convenient
viewing,
rotate
the viewfinder
up or down.
Opening
the
viewfinder

Pull out tlw viewfinder
completely
and lift up.

Adiust
the viewfinder
to a comfortabIe
position.
Cautions:
Do not try to raise the viewfinder
until it
is completely
pulled ouL
Do not lift the camcorder
by the
viewfinde_
Notes:
When the LCD monitor
is open, the
viewfinder
turns off.
Use the CONTROL dial to adjust the
brightness
of the viewfinder
with the
LCD/VF SET menu_

Eyepiece focus
control
Eyepiece Focus Control
The' eyepiece
focus
control
lets you set the focus
of
the viewfinder
f\)r your
vision.
If" you wear
eyeglasses
you
probably
can operate
the camcorder
without
them.
It is easiest
to set the correct
fl)cus by focusing
on
one of the viewfinder's
on screen
displays.
Look
through
the viewfinder
and adjust
the eyepiece
focus
control
f\)r your vision.

Slide the eyepiece
focus
control
until the
indicators
in the
viewfinder
are clearly
visible.
Note: The eyepiece focus control
does not
affect the focus of the image captured
by the
camcorde_
Never force the viewfinder
to rotate completely
arouncL This will damage
the viewfinder
andlor
the camcorde_
When carrying the unit with the shoulder strap, put the viewfinder
down
and in to help prevent
possible damage to it.
