Displayingthe presenttime
The present
time display
on the fluorescent
display
shows the
current
time when the VCR is turned
off or when a tape is not
loaded into the VCR.
If you have not set the clock (or if there has
been a power failure
of more than 30 seconds.), the display
will
show

To see the current
time when the VCR is on:

Press the DISPLAY
button
on the front panel
or on the
remote
control.
The present
time display' appears
on _he TV
screen.

To turn off the present
time display,
press the DISPLAY
button
once. During
playback,
the present
time display
automatically
turns
off after 4 seconds.
Searching Techniques
The VCR lets you search
through
a tape in a number
of ways.
These
include:
• Edit searching,
• Speed searching,
• Searching
by time,
• Searching
for a blank portion
of tape, and
• Index search techniques.
Edit searching
Edit search
is very useful for editing
out commercials
if you are
recording
a program
while you are watching
it. It is also usefal
as
a general
editing
feature.
This feature
is sometimes
called EE
(electronic-to-electronic)
editing.
This
function
works
only
when
you are in "record-pause"
mode.
To use edit search:
O
During
record pause,
press the FF or REW button
on the
remote
control
or on the front panel to locate the point where
you want to resume
recording.
