If you are recording,
playing
back a tape, or receiving
a video
signal
from an external
input, then the words "Not available"
wilt
flash. To correct this, stop the tape or switcih the VCR's input
to
tuner.
You will see the menu for automatically
memorizing
chan-.
nels. Using
the list below as a reference,
press the JOG/
ADJUST
buttons
to select r_he kind of antenna
you connected.
If you are using
any cable combination_
including
a ,cable
box with an A/B switch, choose "Cable."
If you are using
an antenna
that receives
only over-the-air
broadcasts,
such as "rabbit
ears" or a roof-mounted
an-
tenna,
choose "Indoor/outdoor."
After you have made
your choice, press the ENTER
button.

You will see an on-screen
message
and the display
on 1:he
front of your VCR showing
you that the VCR is memoiizing
the stations
you can receive.
You can cancel the memorization
at any time by pressing
CANCEL
on the remote
control.
After the VCR is finished
programming
all the channels,
the
screen
will return
the VCR's piicture.
Automatic
programming
may include
vacm_t channels
if there
was a noise or stray signal
on the channel.
If this occurs, you can
manually
delete the channels
using the procedure
in the fi)llowing
section,
"Adding and deleting
channels."
Adding and deletingchannels
If necessary,
you can manually
add or delete
channels
after you
have completed
the automatic
channel
programming.
Before you begin, you should:
• know how to view the picture
coming from your VCR; (see
page 21)
• know how to use the menus.
(See page 27.)

Make sure the video mute is ON. (See page 26.)
Set the VCR's input
to "tuner."
To do this, press the INPUT
button
on the remote
control until you _see a channel
number
on the fiuorescem_
display
panel.
