Great for amateur surveillance

Before you begin...
• Connectthe Palmeorderto a power source.
For extended periods of recording, it is
recommendedto use the AC Adaptor for a
powersource.
• Insert a cassette with record tab (see page 10).
• Set the POWERswitch to CAMERA.

mode, hold down
MOTION DETECT for 2 seconds
(approx.) to set the Palmcorder in
Motion Detection stand-by mode. (If no
cassette tape is inserted, "1_------I"
will
flash.)

Motion Detection may function
regardless of the subject's motion
when:
• the background is plain, suchas a
white wall.
• recordinga subjectwith distinct
horizontal, verticalor obliquestripes,
suchas a windowshade.
• the brightness suddenlychanges.
Motion Detection may not function
when..,
• motion is very slow or very fast.
• moving object is very small.
• motion is in 1 corner of the viewing
area.
• in low light situations (MOTION
DETECTION will flash if the light level
is inadequate.)
• the background has distinct horizontal
or vertical stripes.
• the background is plain, such as a
white wall.

Note:
• Make sure the Palmcorder is firmly
secure. If the Palmcorder is moved, the
Motion Detection feature will start,
regardless of the subject being recorded.
• While recording, Palmcorder will not be
set in Motion Detection stand-by mode.
• While Palmcorder is in motion detection
stand-by mode, Record/Pause,
Stand-by
mode, Digital E.I.S., Color Digitat Fade,
One-Touch Auto Fade and Negative/
Positive Transposer can not be activated.
