The Palmcorder will automatically
bring the subject into locus even during zooming.

For Auto Focus mode, it may be necessary
to press MANUAL FOCUS, so that "MF"
does not appear in the EVF.
Use Manual Focus (MF) when recording ... • an obliquelyangledsubject.
• a subjectthroughglass.
• a scene where the subjectis far from the
Palmcorderand there are objectsin the
foreground.
• a subjectwith distincthorizontalstripes.
• a subjectnot centeredin the Viewfinder.
• subjectswith shiny surfaces.
• a bright, flat subjectsuch as a white wall.
• in low light situations.
• a scene with fast motions,likea golf swing.
• Re-focusing may be required
when your Palmcorderis aimed at a new
scene.
Press MANUAL FOCUS so that
"MF" (Manual Focus) appears in the
EVF.
EVF Indication

Press and hold the "T" side of the
POWER ZOOM switch until the lens
is zoomed in all the way (subject at
maximum size).
Rotate MANUAL FOCUS until the
picture is in focus.
• It may be necessaryto back away from
the subjectto focus the image properly.
Press the "W" side of the POWER
ZOOM switch to frame the picture
as desired.
Auto Focus will function down to 1/2 inch (12.7mm) in front of the lens.
Press the "W" side of the POWER ZOOM switch to the wide angle position.
Then, bring the Palmcorder as close to the subject as necessary.
