Adjusting the color purity
Because your Mitsubishi color television has a large-screen picture
tube, the earth's magnetic field carl produce discolored patches on
the edges of your screen. To avoid this problem, follow these in-
structions when you first install your television:
O Turn off the TV set.
Determine the compass direction the screen is facing.

O Select the position for the DIRECTION switch according to the
the chart below.

West X
Turn the TV on and check the color :performance.
If color impurity is still present, change the STRENGTH switch
to the other position. If there is still impurity, wait a few
minutes, then press the DEGAUSS bu.tten on the control panel.
You may need to adjust the color purity switches if you. change
position or location.
If there is still color impurity after adjusting the switches,
please contact your Mitsubishi Authorized Warranty (',enter.
Color impurity can also be caused by un shielded speakers and
strong magnets. Move these items away from your TV.
