Using the parent lock
This special feature allows you to lock the entire TV during a
certain time period or to lock individual channel,s. (You cannot lock
the TV and lock individual channels at the same time.) If you
enable the lock, the TV prompts for you to enter a 4-digit password
when:
• the lock is enabled for individual channels and you try to access
any of the locked channels OR the menu
• you turn the TV on and the lock is enabled for the current time
period
When you enter the password, the message disappears and the lock
is turned off.
If you want to lock individual channels, you must first select tile
channels to lock, and then you must enable the parent lock for
"Channels." Selecting the channels to lock is a one-time procedure.
Whenever you enable the parent lock for "Channds," the channels
that you previously locked require a password. (See "Editing the
channels" in this chapter for information on locking and unloctdng
channels.)
DImportant: If you enable the parent lock, you cannot use the ;imer.
