Button Fitting with Thread Shank
The thread shank of a button _s o_tenneeded when
sewing on heavier fabric.
1. Place a button between _e _resset foot and the
mater,S, adjust the st_ch wi_h according to the
distance between the holes in the button and sew
on the button as previously expf_ned.
2, After sewing about 10 stitches, remove the fabric
from the mechtne leaving a tonger upper thread
(about 15 cm (6")) }n Orderto fo_ ethread shank;
3. Putl the upper thread through one of the holes on
the button until it is between the button and the
materia{ and tightly wrap the thread around the
stitches.
4, With a corrnai sewing h_le;
pull the threads to
the back of the material and tie the ends togethe_
to secure the button.
