1_ Raise the presser foot and the needle to their
h{ghest positions.
2. With your ieft hand_ h0id the end o_ the upper
thread, W{th your right hand, turn the balance
wheel toward you (counterclockwise) untii the
needle moves down and back up again to its
highest position.
3. The upper thread Should have Caught the lower
thread in a loop. Pal! the uPOn'thread toward you
and thelower _Sread will come Upf_'0mthe bobbin
in a _arge loop.
4, Pull out about 15 em (6") of both threads and
pl_ce them toward the back of the maoh{ne straight
behind the presser foot,
