The CHG (charge) lamp does not light while the battery pack is being charged.
• Slide the POWER sx_itch to OFF (CHG) (p. 15).
• Attach the battery pack to Ibe camcorder correctly (p. 15).
• Connect Ibe power cord to the wall outlet properly.
• The batte U charge is completed lp. 15).
The CHG (charge)
lamp flashes
while the battery
pack is being charged.
• Attach the battmT .:_ac k to the camcorder correctly (p. 15). If the problem .:_ersists,disconnect
the AC Adaptor fiom the _all outlet and contact your Sony dealer. The battery pack may be
damaged.
The power turns off frequently although the remaining battery time indicator
indicates that the battery pack has enough power to operate.
• A problem has occurred in the remaining butte13'time indicator, or the battery pack has not
been charged enough. Fully charge the batte U again to correct the indication (p. 15).
The remaining
battery time indicator does not indicate the correct time.
• Ambient temperature is too high or too Iox_ or the battelT pack has not been charged enough.
This is not a malfunction.
• Fully charge the battery again. If the problem persists, the battery may be x_orn-out. Replace
it with a new one (p. 15, 116).
• The indicated time may not be correct in certain circumstances. For example, when you open
or close Ihe LCD panel it takes about I minute to disphLvthe correct remaining batte U time.
The battery pack discharges
too quickly.
• Ambient temperature is too high or lox_, or the battery pack has not been charged enough.

• Fully charge the batte U again. If the problem persists, the battery may be _orn-out. Replace
it with a new one (p. 15, 116).
A problem occurs when the camcorder is connected to the AC Adaptor.
• Turn off the power, and disconnect the AC Adaptor from the _all outlet. Then, connect it
again.
An unknown picture appears on the LCD screen or viewfinder.
• The camcorder is in [DEMO MODE] (p. 64). Touch the LCD screen or insert a cassette or a
"Memory Stick Duo" to cancel [DEMO MODE].
An unknown indicator appears on the screen.
• A _ arning indicator or message appears on the screen (p. 107).
