• Disconnect the i.LINK cable belore changing
the [VCR HDV/DV I setdng. Otherwise, the
connected device, such as a VCR, may not be
able to recognize the video signal flom your
camcorder.
• When [AUTOI is selected, when the signal
switches between HDV and DV lbrmats, the
picture and sound are interrupted temporarily.
• When El.LINK CONVI is sel to [ON (HDV
DV)I. pictures are output as lollows:
al [AUTO], all HDV signal is converted to lhe
DV tornlat and output; a DV signal is (11111)111
as it is.
at [HDV], all HDV signal is converted to the
DV lormat and output; a DV signal is not
output,
at [DVI. a DV signal is output as it is: an
HDV signal is not (111113111.

• When you mix recordings in the SP mode and in
the LP mode on one tape, the playback picture
may be distorted or tile time code may not be
written properly between lhe scenes.

You can select the aspect ratio accoaling
to the TV connected when recording. Reli:r

with your TV.

Records pictures to the full screen on a

Records pictures to the filll screen on a 4:3
TV screen.

You can tnonitor the sound recorded with
audio dubbing or 4ch microphone recording
on the tape during playback.
Touch _/E_ to atliust the balance of the
original sound (ST I ) and the sound
recorded afterwards/ST2), then touch I_gl.
• The original sound (STI) is output at the delault
setting.
• The adjusted audio balance returns to tile delmllt
setting when you set the POWER switch to OFF
