Copying Extra Thick Documents

1. If the document you wish to copy is very thick (e.g. a book), you can
remove the cover, lifting it straight up without tilting it.
2. Place your original on the document glass, aligning it with the scale
on the left edge.
3. Using the operator panel, select the number and type of copies you
require (for further details, see the following section).
4. Press
or , according to your original and the type of copy you
require.
5. Once you have finished making copies, return the glass cover to its
normal position by reassembling the hinges and lowering the cover
onto the body of the machine without tilting it.
