If necessary, connect the EIDE cable to the PRI IDE connector on the system
board.

Replace the bezel as described earlier in "Removing and Replacing the Bezel."
8.
Make sure that no cable connections were loosened during the procedure.
Arrange cables so that they will not interfere with replacing the computer cover
and support beam.
9.
Replace the computer cover and support beam and tighten the cover-mounting
thumbscrew.
10. Reconnect your computer and devices to their electrical outlets, and turn them
on.
11. Verify the correct operation of the drive by running the Dell Diagnostics (refer to
"Running the Dell Diagnostics" in Chapter 4).
To install a drive in the secondary hard-disk drive bay, perform the following steps:
1.
Prepare the drive for installation as described earlier in "Configuring Drives."
2.
Remove the bezel as described earlier in "Removing and Replacing the Bezel."
3.
If a drive is already installed, disconnect any cables attached to the drive.
4.
Remove the two screws securing the secondary hard-disk drive bracket to the
chassis (see Figure 3-12). Slide the bracket toward the back of the chassis and lift
it out.
