Keep in mind that colors on the computer screen are additive – higher color values are brighter. This stands in
contrast to media like paint and inks where larger amounts of color produce darker results – known as subtractive
color.
The Color palette makes it easy to choose colors. Access it by clicking the color swatch in the

The Color palette is accessed by clicking the Inspector color swatch.
The Color palette allows selection of preset colors displayed in the Basic colors section. You can also select any RGB
color by dragging the crosshairs in the palette to the right and clicking to select a color. The current color is shown in
the Color/Solid swatch.
The selected color's Red, Green and Blue values are displayed, as well as its Hue Saturation and Luminance values.
The Red, Green and Blue values are the same as those entered in the Inspector palette. You can enter numerical color
values into the text fi elds to create colors from 'recipes.'
Clicking the Add to Custom Colors button adds the current Color/Solid swatch to the bank of Custom Colors. When
you click the OK button, the color in the Color/Solid swatch will be transferred to the Inspector palette.
Using the Pop-up Color Selectors
consisting of a mini palette of color swatches. When a color is selected in this mini palette, its hexadecimal value is
displayed at the bottom of the palette. Hexadecimal values are commonly used to specify color on web pages.
You can also right-click on the Inspector color swatch to open a contextual menu
