7 Drag an outline over both Floor objects to select them both and move them to the lower left corner of the Top
view.
8 With both Floor objects selected, select the Edit > Duplicate (Ctrl+D) menu command to duplicate both objects.
Drag the duplicated objects until their bottom connectors align with the top connectors of the original objects.
9 Continue to duplicate and drag the Floor objects until an 8x8 array of Floor objects is complete.
The chess board is a versatile model that has many uses in 3-D constructs. Because all the connectors are welded,
dragging a single connector up or down relative to the plane will deform the adjacent object. By dragging various
connectors up and down you can create a rough terrain.
This chess board uses Welded connectors.

Rotating Objects

Objects can be rotated using the Rotate tool (R) . Select an object, click the Rotate (R) tool and then drag anywhere
around the object. The object will rotate around its center. If you fi rst click on a point, and then drag, the object will
rotate around that point. The rotation anchor is marked with a blue target. Dragging an outline around the object will
cause the rotation center to return to the center of the object. If guidelines are enabled, the value of the rotation in
degrees will be displayed next to the center point.
