Buttonholes – Applications
4. Pressing Welts
press welts on the wrong side of the fabric or
baste, so that two equally big strips are formed
on the right side
5. Edgestitching
edgestitch the buttonhole (see picture)
place facing on the wrong side
6. Topstitching Buttonhole
topstitch buttonhole with the Straight stitch foot
with sliding sole No. 53 on the right side
(including facing)
7. Trimming Leather
cut leather of facing on the wrong side inside
the sewn rectangle and trim away slightly

Bound buttonhole in other materials
sew buttonhole as described under 1. – 7.
at the end, finish edges by hand and secure
